During my tenure at the Ohio River Yacht Club, there were triple-digit temperatures in June, and the boats and jet-skis tethered at the marina suggested the only relief to be had. Actually, I like extreme heat and didn’t need relief. What I needed was to transfer the heat and shimmer before me and surrounding me to the canvas.
